Our school Mehmet Memişoğulları is a public primary scholl that located in Altındağ region which is a disavantage area in ANKARA.The school was
founded in 2000.We have 252 students aged 10-14.There are 30 teachers.There are 11 classes,1 kindergarden class,1 science lab,1 meeting hall. We have new teknologies with computers and internet in each class.There is a big schoolyard. English is thought as a foreign language.Our students are enthusiastic in learning foreign languages. They regularly prepare ‘ENGLISH WALL ‘ in the school.They exhibit their different and amusing works on the themes they have learnt.They know that English is necessary for their future life. Some of our children are poor and their parents are not educated.And we also have students who have problems in learning easily.They attend rehabilitation centres to get easily integrated in society. Our students are very succesful at sports.They have won lots of medals in sports games,competitions and art. We started this comenius project ,because we want our students and teachers to be involved in EU projects and use the opportunity of LLP . We would like to learn different cultures and education of different countries in Europe.We would like to be a part of Europe too ,via this comenius Project. And also we applied for a comenius assistant. We have the role of the coordinator of this project and we will fulfill all the tasks during this 2 year project time.
